According to one representative at a major contract metal fabricator based in the upper Midwest, the company experienced major project delays not due to sheet metal shortages or even labor challenges. Weld nuts, it turned out, were to blame.

Optimas Solutions has promoted chief operating officer Daniel Harms to president, Optimas Americas. He also will be joining the Optimas board of directors. The company also announced that Mike Tuffy, president, Optimas International, will also be joining the Optimas board.
