SITUATION

In 2003, Optimas commenced its collaboration with the manufacturer, aiming to support their ambitious production expansion plans. Initially, Optimas provided a modest point-of-use service. This partnership has since evolved to become integral to the manufacturer’s operations.

CHALLENGE

The production growth introduced complexities in inventory

To address these challenges, Optimas implemented several strategic solutions:

  • Installed 154 OptiBeam racks equipped with 6,000 bins, facilitating efficient storage and retrieval of components.
  • Provided engineering support, as well as BOM analysis and
management to enhance standardization and reduce complexity.
  • Introduced on-site operations personal to provide line service,
support progress of parts, monitor usages and identify any
    discrepancies.
  • Maximised quality through Optimas’ Inspection and Test Centres of Excellence to ensure products meet highest standards.
  • Continued stringent supplier selection process & global strategic sourcing capabilities.
