OptiSpec is an entirely online cloud-based solution which can be accessed through the Optimas Portal.

Quality standards will be per the requirements of the customer as they are the owner of the parts.

Parts can be revised; the original can be archived and remain. This would require an up-issue in part number of the new part for purposes of differentiation. Alternatively, the old part can be removed once archived. By doing this, further selection of old issue part will no longer possible.

OptiSpec gives an overview of a customer’s existing BOM to help enable VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) and part rationalization through use of existing parts. New parts can be added to the portal once they are added to the BOM, which Optimas can in turn supply.

The part information and 2D drawings are provided by the customer. Optimas utilizes these to populate all of the attribute information and undertake the creation of the 3D CAD models. This information is then uploaded to the Optispec portal. Login details will be provided for those requiring access.

At this time, this is not possible. This is a standalone system provided by Optimas to enable quicker design and better purchasing.
