[Gloucester, UK: 6 August, 2025] Optimas Solutions announced the opening of a regional distribution centre in Wynyard, United Kingdom, to better serve customers in the North East. 

Optimas, the leading global industrial distributor and service provider specialising in fastening and supply chain solutions, adds a UK facility to its ranks. The move is part of a larger Optimas strategy to create a UK distribution footprint that brings supply closer to customer demand to ensure timely delivery of parts, plus improved management of inventory.

Optimas’ new facility has a 15,000-square-foot warehouse and accommodates 20 employees. It is also supported by several existing Optimas envoys embedded in customer sites within the region. The facility has on-site kitting and quality capabilities, with capacity for 2,700 pallet spaces.

As part of the strategic move, Optimas’ Newton Aycliffe and Bredbury facilities have merged into this facility to better align resources closer to customers in the UK.

Optimas is proud to support local initiatives, and following the transition from Newton Aycliffe to Wynyard, the team donated surplus furniture and office supplies to local charities Inside Out North East CIC and the Salvation Army.
